Disney is seeking an experienced Associate Sales Manager for Consumer Products Licensing Business to create impact by identifying and advancing new business opportunities with a strong focus on driving accelerated profit growth through insight based and locally relevant design and products for Korea.
The Associate Sales Manager is responsible for managing a few sub-categories and the associated licensees while closely working with a Business Manager in achieving product, category and franchise strategies and goals. The ideal candidate would have a proven track record in demonstrating commercial acumen with the ability to build strong relationships with our partners. He/she is a change enabler who is organizational savvy, builds strong networks internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Business Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies and initiatives to achieve yearly and quarterly business targets for responsible categories.
Build and manage lead generation process and pipeline, identify high potential new-to-Disney partners or opportunities to extend relationships with existing partners.
Maximize new and existing Disney IP to establish Disney in new retail channels through retail partnerships and activations.
Develop relationships within the retail and consumer goods industry, creating new channels of distribution for Disney products.
Research and capitalize on new business opportunities and consumer trends, lead the development of the strategies and roll out plans for new business initiatives.
Create consultative sales presentations using industry knowledge and curating the Disney difference.
Negotiate commercial terms and close deals before handing over to the Contract Admin team.
Monitor business/sales and closely communicate with licensees to drive growth and support their needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BD, Product Design and Marketing to identify new business opportunities, conduct market research, and develop prospecting strategies.
Partner with lines of businesses to drive brand and franchise affinity to maximize impact to overall Disney brand equity.
Coordinate with internal teams for contract, finance, product approval and legal processes.
Work with the Marketing team for effective promotion and to maximize the sales.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of experience in Account Management/B2B Sales/Retail.
Experience and/or high level of interest in the categories such as Home, Beauty, Toy and/or Consumer Electronics.
Strong understanding of brand and property positioning, retail distribution, and licensees' production and creative capabilities/limitations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and team members.
Goal-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Excellent presentation, communication, networking and influencing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.
Fluent in Korean and business proficiency in English.
